There are four outposts where you can trade, buy, and store items. It’s kinda weird but you get over it and when you get to the outer city limits it gets a little more interesting. Each building almost always seems completely symmetrically spaced from the next. I will say that the map is kinda lacking and at times it feels like a copy and paste of each building. There are safe zones and also PvP zones where you can kill other players for their loot. There isn’t any base-building but more of a looter type. The basic premise of the game is you start out in a room with other survivors and explore the map, which basically consists mostly of city, to gather resources. Obviously, it isn’t as refined as something like Resident Evil, but the game feels good and takes a lot of inspiration from those types of games. The side shoulder view and the whole zombie premise, it surprisingly felt good. This game’s gameplay reminded me a lot of Resident Evil. Okay, so I have Dead Frontier 2 as the next game on the list. I know it’s a short one but I think this one is worth a try because of how impressive the game feels and I personally had a lot of fun playing it. I think the developers really put a lot of time into making a kind of showcase for how good the mechanics are. I could honestly just sit for a few hours just flying around punching stuff and have a good time doing it. The flying and superhero gameplay is about as good as you can get. The reason this game deserves a spot on this list is that the game feels so good. It has a lot of replayability and I really wanted this on the list because I had a lot of fun playing it.Įssentially, this game places you as a hero in this small city and your goal, or goals, are to save the various citizens around the map, while also taking out the enemies. It’ll probably take you an hour to beat at most, but don’t let that turn you away from it. Now, I wanna mention that this game isn’t very long at all. So starting out the list, we have Undefeated. So I really recommend looking at all of the games, because all of them really just downright need more credit for how good they are. I’ll be honest here, the search for good quality ones is hard, but I was actually very impressed with some of the open-world games I was able to find.
